Just popping up to say G'day! This handsome little fella is an Eastern quoll - one of the many furry natives you can get up close and personal with at @bonorong in @hobartandbeyond. Captured in this shot by @jhar.photos, eastern quolls are now considered to be extinct on the Australian mainland, however they are still common across Tassie. Though largely nocturnal, one may occasionally stumble upon quolls foraging or basking during daylight hours. Most quolls spend their days snoozing in nests made under rocks in underground burrows or fallen logs. Hmmm, sleeping during the day... sounds perfect to us!
