Young Bloods and Young Minds
Artasia Gallery
Going to art galleries and exhibits are fun and inspiring. There are a lot of exhibits, art fairs and art events that have free admission. I like to go to my friends exhibits, too. I'm like a proud mom when I see their paintings, sculpture or any form of artwork.
It's also a great opportunity to learn from other artists and be inspired by their style and passion.
Here's a video I recorded around the gallery:
Below are the photos of my favorite artworks in that exhibit. I really love their creativity, resourcefulness and artistry.
I really appreciate this one. It's a big mixed media painting, the mouse traps are real and you can also see the paper bills coming out of the painting. The first one which captured me is the hands. Since I love painting hand gestures, this one inspires me to make more paintings. I love the message it conveys. It's so deep, eye-opening and surreal.
These ones as you can see are made from can tabs. and other scrap tin (other metal) materials. It is made by my friend, Marvel Obemio. He started collecting full tabs since 2015 and is also known for making awesome artworks using recyclable materials, old toys and even things that we just throw away.
This one is a textured painting. I like the way the artist put each element on canvas. As you can see, the parts are small and neatly placed each other. I can't imagine myself finishing that one, I don't have patience. So, salute to you !
This one is really marvelous. Look at the two artworks at the right. I is made on a big canvas. And look closely...
Those images where made with these pixels. Imagine the patience of the artist here. This is so awesome and incredible.
I also like the texture of this one. It also looks so bright but clean to me.
