Why just make a dog video when you can make a video on how to mix your own music into any video at the same time?
Ya, I couldn't think of a reason either, so here we go.
(quick note - when i say i've been using mixcraft 7 for ten years i really mean the mixcraft line of editors since version 2 and that's closer to 15 or more years ago)
This tutorial is intended for people with little to no previous knowledge of audio or video editing.
Learn how to remix and or add audio to your videos using the
VLC - Media Player to rip the original audio from your video so you can mix it elsewhere.
Mixcraft 7 - Basic mixing and track editing (adding, splitting, appending) Track navigation, Adding effects and Basic Mastering using the built in presets.
Avidemux - Used to add the new track to the original video but also great for basic video editing which I will cover in another video.
Easy Movie Maker - Transcoding AVI files to an MP4 compression format. This turns big bulky AVI files into little MP4 files that are also easier to work with in Avidemux.
All software mentioned is free to use with the exception of Mixcraft 7. However you can download a free fully functioning demo of Mixcraft that you can use for up to 2 weeks before you must register it to continue using it. However any files you create will remain unaffected by the demo limitations.
The background music in the beginning of the tutorial is an original acoustic guitar composition. I recorded a pre-written arpeggio melody and then recorded a freestyle lead over it using the blues minor riff. This was done using Mixcraft 7. The current working title is "Athena's Song" and can be heard in full on my soundcloud.

Back when we were still camping and had no electricity this was my laser pointer for playing with Athena. She just loves it as you can see and I've set the video to a track I produced using Mixcraft 7, an electronic reproduction of Guns -n- Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine". The entire track can be heard on my Soundcloud here.
