The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were hit by a wave of fury when they touched down on Australian soil yesterday.
They were slammed for “looking miserable” and “uninterested” as they sat in the VIP box for the Commonwealth Games’ Opening Ceremony.
Their appearance on the Gold Coast in Queensland even whipped up a storm – not just weather-wise – calling for the Monarchy to be abolished in Australia.
And now a body language expert has picked apart their day Down Under – and come to a series of bombshell conclusions.
Judi James revealed to Daily Star Online that Charles and Camilla were like “nervy kids at a student party” during the high-spirited ceremony.
She noticed a “growing difference with this Royal double act” and felt the future King and Queen looked “anxious, reluctant and “lacking in bounce”.
The professional body language expert told us: “Sandwiched generation-wise as they are in between the eternally-young Queen and Prince Philip, who can still appear at events oozing energy, strength and an occasionally mischievous smile despite their ages, and the charismatic and equally energetic and joyful-looking William and Kate, Charles and Camilla appeared at times anxious and reluctant and lacking in any youthful bounce that could imply keenness.
“Unlike the current royals and the younger royals they tend to have the effect of making you worried rather than happier.
“Camilla was caught thumbing through the programme when being welcomed from the stage and while the athletes partied all around them and the rest of the VIP box erupted in laughter and applause Charles and Camilla stood apart and very static like the awkward kids at a student party.
“Their walk into the stadium involved some sides-of-the-mouth talking to one another that suggested low levels of social confidence.
