TABIR
Is an Indonesan word that have the same meaning as "Curtain" in English.
I choose that word for this illustration's title as a representation of things that I try to tell with this illustration.
This illustration has the meaning of things that are not fully visible and then considered taboo. Or you could say that what is considered taboo is actually something that is not fully understood but is immediately labeled.
The naked woman's body symbolizes the word taboo because in some parts of the world, nudity is considered taboo. A closed face represents incomplete knowledge and understanding. The night with moon setting depicts a mixture of dark and light which symbolizes knowledge being covered up.
I hope this one is enjoyable, stay safe and, Cheers!
