This story has been on and off since President Donald Trump stated they would be leaving this treaty because "Russia and China have not been complying to it" (even though China was never part of this treaty), but now it is coming to the forefront of the news after this retreat is becoming more of a reality. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has stated that Moscow would react to military threats related to the US withdrawal from the INF Treaty "by military-technical means", i.e. with weapons development.

Now, President Vladimir Putin has ordered the creation of medium-range missiles in response to President Donald Trump’s retreat from the Cold War treaty. This is of little surprise as in the last few weeks we've seen headlines like Russia making super EMP satellites, supersonic weapons, missiles that create hallucinations and vomiting, and the list goes on. Plus, with their allies, China, it is highly likely there will be some kind of war with them very soon. They've warned about Venezuela and many other things that the US continues to ignore.
