Elk residents or tourists of Jasper, Alberta ?

I had the good fortune to be in the Jasper area this week for work. While I was there it was actually quite smoky so I didn't get any new mountain photos but I was fortunate enough to get some new elk photos. They were hanging out just across the river from I was so I snapped a few photos while they were there.

I did not see any elk in town this visit but in the past I have seen the elk in the town of Jasper wandering through the streets like residents and tourists.
