Dusk like Judgement Day
The street tore open like a bleeding sky.
Was that the sun setting or just the angels charging forth?
I stared on, as one enchanted beyond reasoning
While the ensuing scene weighs upon me
Like a shadow in the horizons of the sky
Hounded by the tireless smoke from Hades.
The sky is bright still but darkness'd lurked around
And what's left of it's brightness is a smear
Upon the flock of chirpy girls that roved pass.
I sneered at the landscape and the sky,
The worn faces and the wearied strays -
The world is suddenly becoming something useless.
Despairing as this thought do seemed,
I sank my nose back into the book I laid before me
And was done with the vast waste around.
