Three months ago I entered the Steem community with big childish eyes, a lot of writing ideas and tons of expectations and misconceptions. All of them changed or got replaced and are in continuous changing.
Noting ever remains the same so why would my ideas and conceptions about the platform would remain like concrete on the bottom of the ocean. Even the platform itself is improving. We don't have the option of choosing how to receive the rewards anymore, neither can we see the views of our posts and comments rewards under 3 cents are now vanishing like dust. Some steps forward have been made.
I can't say that these affect me in any way, but I would rather see some others more important. At least in my opinion.
I would like to see a messenger app like the one Facebook has that allows users to talk privately if the want. I would like to see a filter for the posts shown on the news feed and trending page and lately I found myself wanting to see something done about the quality of the posts that appear on the trending page mainly boosted by bid bots.
Another important change that probably will never happen is a daily posts limit set that would end the rewards pool rapes and why not an automatic claim of rewards in the wallet. One last thing would be...another criteria for posts to hit the trending page other than the value of upvotes received. Not all of them are organic as we all know and not all of them are worth becoming a trend.
I'm sure that none of my posts would be worthy of the trending page, but I've read enough of others that I truly believe are quality ones and could make that trending page the best advertising cover Steemit can get. I'll wait though for that to happen and am confident in Ned and the future of Steemit as it is going through its maturity process. Great things take time and don't happen over night.
Now that I've finished with what I wish let's see what I have accomplished and what makes me come back on the platform every day from the moment I open my eyes. Literally...
Since using busy.org it's these notifications that show me instantly my latest comments, who followed me and if anyone re-blogged and of my posts. I love notifications and I always loved. Ever since the blue pill and the messenger ring were still in my social media life.
Next it's the rewards, that are the core of the platform, and are also a joy to see them blooming on my posts. Not all of my posts are highly voted, but some of them are really satisfying...for me. Still plankton though.
In the achievements department I'm very happy with the 50 reputation score that I got. It's not much, but it's mine and that's all that matters. Another important thing that keeps me connected all day is the comments and interactions that I have with people all over the world on a wide range of topics. I am very opinionated and Steemit came right in time after my bitter taste with Facebook lately.
Reading and writing is something that I haven't done too much on the social media before Steemit as I didn't had patience and neither found it attractive to spend my time with shared news and professional type of articles. I like amateur stuff. I like reading opinions about news, road trips and other personal experience and why not conflicts from where I can learn something. Not to forget some of the best amateur philosophical posts I could ever found and enjoyed reading. I'm always into these kind of posts.
There's a big crowd around here with lots of beautiful and sharp minds that can make out of Steemit one of the best blogging and alternative media platforms . No censorship involved fortunately.
Although it is just a three months period spent around here it is not one second wasted in all this time. I learned alot in many areas and am sure that will still do that while expressing myself and reading others. I don't like long posts so I'll end this one right on the edge of getting boring with saying a big THANK YOU to all of you upvoting my posts, replying to my comments and teaching me stuff I don't know.
