I was watching yesterday an interview with a former great politician from my own country, the footage dating back to 1997, and the topic of the talk was Ukraine. I'm not getting into details with this one, although the things said about Ukraine at that time do apply quite accurately nowadays as well.
What caught my attention tight in that interview was the idea of a referendum being mentioned for a situation that was relevant at that time. We don't get to be asked much lately... No one makes referendums anymore, the public opinion is nullified and we're somehow gradually sliding towards a totalitarian worldwide reaching state.
But sir, don't we have elections? Can't we just push the right people into leadership positions?... Well, do you think Joe Biden was really elected by the citizens... Look at this man, he lives in a parallel world, and it's clear he was put there, not elected through any type of voting.
The idea of voting is an illusion, the idea of having a choice is an even bigger one.
Blockchain technology fixes that... Yeah, I know the bitter taste of LUNA is hard to wash out, even when talking about hardcore blockchain technology, but we have DAOs, and we have DPOS blockchains such as Hive, hence we can say blockchain is the referendum we never had.
You can't manipulate nodes, votes, or forks with this tech, it's mathematics and you can't manipulate data stored on these chains either. If the mainstream media refuses to tell the truth, I can share that particular truth through a written article or a vlog on my Hive account and there's no entity able to forbid me from doing so.
Hyperinflation is a topic that will probably be discussed for many years down the road, as we just got the taste of mere inflation almost everywhere on this planet, but that doesn't mean blockchain doesn't have a fix for it as well. That fix can be called BTC, XMR or any other cryptocurrency project that's either deflationary... or printing money out of thin air same as the FED is doing.
The tokenization of everything is a matter of when not if. We have the ability, thanks to blockchain technology, to print our own money and to "attach value" thanks to the tokenization process to almost anything one can imagine. About a week ago I talked about a Romanian blockchain project that is aiming to tokenize car navigation.
At the WEF at Davos, just recently, some lady was talking about "the recalibration of freedom of speech". What the fuck is that? You can't recalibrate North and South, you can do that with the compass pointing at either of these two, but you don't recalibrate the poles.
Unfortunately, there are still plenty of journalists that rely on centralized means of sharing information with the public for doing that, but in this case, as well, it's a matter of when and not if, until these are gonna be drawn towards censorship-free blockchain-based media platforms.
No one is asking us to go to referendums anymore, we're just being forced in digesting what they're throwing at us, but that doesn't mean it's checkmate already... Blockchain is much more than some sort of speculative technology, it is indeed the referendum we never had. I believe the value we can extract from this thing is much more important than the dollar valuation of the cryptocurrencies we hold.
If they don't ask us for opinions anymore in regard to the paths our current society is heading, then it's time to circumvent them.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
