As some of you may know, I've been researching several topics lately. One is AI and the other is Youtube. I started to post regularly there but I'm still searching my voice and niche. When I'm on youtube, my algorithm tends to show me everything related to AI and how to generate content with AI. This is obviously not ok on Hive but on other platforms like Youtube, Tiktok or even Instagram, the feed is flooded with AI generated content.
With AI you can generate fully automated Videos but it has a cost...
There are a lot of advantages in generating content with AI, especially video content. You can hide behind an avatar or a faceless channel, you can use AI voiceovers or lip synchronization to generate content without needing a camera, a setting or a microphone. Especially for people who maybe don't speak English perfectly, this can be an entry point to create content on youtube but in the context of how AI content is spreading, this brings up some other questions.
If AI can automate whole videos and take content from others and copy it, how does this content differentiate itself? How can a content creator build trust in such an environment?
In this video I show you three little AI generated scenes and I would simply like that you watch them and look at how it makes you feel... In my opinion, AI content has a price and it comes in the form of loss of trust. Especially, if you plan to build a youtube channel and monetize your audience, the one important factor for your channel to evolve and to generate income is trust. I believe that it's important to draw a line and decide how much AI we want to implement and what trust costs we are willing to pay...
What do you think about this topic? How do you feel about AI generated content?
