Scrobble.life
After the big updates yesterday: built-in music player and Audius search & play as well as playlists
Today I just did a few small changes fine-tuning things. Playlists are now also sharable with others!
After doing the usual security check I decided to also do a speed check, to make sure pages are loading quickly and not trying to overload information on the get go. Found some that were lagging behind so fixed them up and they're now a lot faster than earlier!
Try it at https://scrobble.life
Extensions are also public and easily installable now in case you missed it!
Chrome: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hive-scrobbler/nmiakhpbilkpimeohngjbjickchkcpio
Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hive-scrobbler/
Keep in mind this mainly works for browsers on the PC, not for players that are installed/apps or mobile currently. However the player should work on mobile as well if you login using the browser, just that it won't save scrobbles for now.
Holozing Survival Arena (Tower Defense)
A lot more progress here lately.
You start off with 50 coins to purchase one creature, you can pick between 3 creatures that always guarantee at least one tank and two dps:
Once you place the creature out, you wait for enemy creatures to approach you. You can click on creatures to target them, this allows for you to cast heals on them using action button 1 or 5:
You have your mana bar and xp/level progression in the upper left corner, coins and wave info in the upper right one and your target info in the lower left corner. Quite simplistic starting out. You can also control you creature to go towards different places by rightclicking when you have it targeted.
When enemy creatures approach, they aggro each other, usually going for the tank as they have the highest aggro with abilities such as taunt that they do automatically every 3 seconds if an enemy creature isn't targeting them.
I decided to record the rest of gameplay to give you an idea of how it looks rather than spamming screenshots throughout the whole ordeal, keep in mind it's still not very fine-tuned in terms of difficulty/progression.
Still a lot of work left to do, I'm thinking creatures that are the same are going to be able to "stack" at some point to prevent overcrowding. I.e. if we select another Walle, you'd automatically place it on top of the current Walle along with a mixture of leveling up creatures rather than just constantly looking to buy and place more of them.
The cards are currently being migrated in from the TCG game I built a few weeks ago so there's not a big selection there yet either.
Anyway, just a first look, let me know what you think.
The idea is that the game will be playable on the browser so we're not aiming to add to high of a polycount since we don't want it to be laggy and we want it to work on mobile as well. Some animations are still missing from creatures as well such as running which is the obvious one when you look at the gameplay, our animator is from Cuba so she's had some internet/electricity issues lately which we hope resolves itself soon as that must be terrible for the people living there.
