One weekend photo and 250 words.
Show us a single photo of one of your most enjoyable weekend activities and write a minimum of 250 words about the activity. Your own photo must be used, and remember, only one single photo...and not of yourself, but the activity.
This concept caught my attention because all week I look forward to the arrival of Saturday and Sunday to enjoy my favorite activity.
TV Time!
During the whole week the daily activities take most of my days, I am usually alone at home so between my son's school and the daily chores I'm too busy to have a break to watch some TV, plus when my son is at home (which is almost all day) he completely takes over the TV, so I have been limited to consume series and movies on the micro-screen of my cell phone.
I am a total fan of audiovisual productions and one of the activities I enjoy the most is sitting comfortably on my couch to watch a good movie/series, so you can imagine that for me it is torture not having the time or the possibility to do it properly, because although during the weekdays I watch things on my phone, honestly, I do not enjoy them as much as on the big screen of a TV.
Fortunately, on weekends everything changes, because my husband has both days off and takes care of the house activities, besides that, my son spends a lot of time in the care of my sister-in-law, so during this time I take the opportunity to watch all the TV he can't watch during the week. That's how on Saturdays and Sundays I completely take over the couch and the remote control and dedicate myself to do one of the things I enjoy the most: watch TV. I know that for many people TV is the "dumb box", but for me that only depends on the quality of the content that is consumed, there is very good content out there waiting to be found.
Something I especially like about my TV time on the weekends are Saturday nights when my husband and I take a moment to spend some time together watching a movie, every weekend we watch a different movie and we take turns choosing what we will watch, one weekend it's his turn to pick the movie and the next it's my turn. Those moments are one of my favorites because we can spend some quiet time together, something that with a toddler is quite difficult, although I must confess that I enjoy a little more sitting alone to watch what I want, sometimes it's good to spend some time with yourself hahaha.
Simply, having the possibility to lay down for a while and immerse myself in the magic of the seventh art is something too enjoyable for me, I take care of a lot of things during the whole week, so there is nothing like a good time alone to rest the body and distract the mind.
