Uh yeah I promise I meant to be writing on the A's earlier, but I was sorta caught up in understanding this Hive-Engine hack. Ugh. So sad man. Makes me so nervous.
But yeah yesterday the A's offense woke up as though they were lagging. After scoring a singular run in each of the two days prior, they erupted for 14 runs including a 6 run third inning. Five different A's recorded at least two hits. Brent Rooker and Zack Gelof both homered. Nick Kurtz had 5 RBI. Overall it was just a dominant display over the Angels and a real breath of fresh air in general.
Today the A's are locked in a close battle with the Angels. They are back to .500 and just need to keep the ship steady at the moment. As much as I want the A's to improve their record beyond just simply hovering around .500, I don't want them to start plummeting either! The Rangers and Mariners are currently right on the A's heels in the AL West. With June around the corner, these standings races are starting to matter more and more.
The A's are down two runs but threatening to score!
A bit of a basic, rushed update but an update nonetheless!
