Muy feliz día del medio hivers, amantes de las costuras, hilos, agujas y moda. En el tutorial de hoy traigo una combinación entre varias disciplinas del arte, vamos a mezclar pintura con corte y confección, haciendo una buena representación de mi emprendimiento llamado: Dilo con Tu Polera, Somos Lienzo. Recordando que es un plan al que le vengo dando forma y fuerza desde hace par de años y es hasta ahora que creo haber encontrado el estilo que deseaba.
Good morning hivers, lovers of sewing, threads, needles and fashion. In today's tutorial I bring a combination of several disciplines of art. We will mix painting with cutting and sewing, making a good representation of my venture called: Say it with your shirt, we are canvas. Remembering that it is a plan that I have been giving shape and strength for a couple of years and it is only now that I think I have found the style I wanted.
Este emprendimiento trata de decorar poleras o franelas según la personalidad de quien lo vaya a usar, con la técnica del patchwork y pintura sobre lienzo ¿por qué insisto en esto? Porque al ver una globalización tan feroz y la digitalización tan controladora considero es un buen momento para fortalecer el trabajo artesanal pues se revaloriza lo hecho a mano, así que si tu tienes una habilidad en cuanto a manualidades es la oportunidad de pulirlo y mostrarlo al mundo, aunque la tecnología, es poco probable tenga el calor humano y sensibilidad que le podamos inyectar a nuestro arte, pero esto es conversación de otro post.
This project is about decorating t-shirts according to the personality of the person who is going to use it, with the patchwork technique and painting on canvas, why do I insist on this? Because seeing such a fierce globalization and digitalization so controlling I think it is a good time to strengthen the craftsmanship because it revalues the handmade, so if you have a skill in terms of crafts is the opportunity to polish it and show it to the world, although technology is unlikely to have the human warmth and sensitivity that we can inject into our art, but this is a conversation for another post.
Sin más introducción les presento el tutorial de hoy, primero los materiales: franela o polera, tela lienzo, pintura, lápiz, hilo, aguja, tijera, alfileres. Luego hay que definir el diseño, esta obra es para mi, quería representar la fortaleza, la palabra con la energía femenina, para eso elegí elementos que me gustan mucho: el árbol del cerezo japonés junto a unos labios con corazón (es una tendencia japonesa también) y unos pájaros volando para mi son ejemplo de libertad y perseverancia.
Without more introduction I present today's tutorial, first the materials: flannel or t-shirt, canvas fabric, paint, pencil, thread, needle, scissors, pins. Then you have to define the design, this work is for me, I wanted to represent the strength, the word with feminine energy, for that I chose elements that I like very much: the Japanese cherry tree with lips with heart (it is also a Japanese trend) and birds flying for me are an example of freedom and perseverance.
Ya con los elementos claros, es tiempo de dibujarlos a lápiz sobre los lienzos previamente medidos y cortados según la posición donde estarán decorando la polera. Como ven aca, elegi 2 cuadrados, simulando par de cuadros uno pequeño para el bolsillo donde irán los labios a la altura del corazón y el otro más grande es para el árbol de cerezo, el cual irá más abajo del lado contrario al bolsillo.
Once the elements are clear, it's time to draw them in pencil on the canvases previously measured and cut according to the position where they will be decorating the shirt. As you can see here, I chose 2 squares, simulating a pair of squares, a small one for the pocket where the lips will go at the level of the heart and the other larger one is for the cherry tree, which will go lower on the opposite side of the pocket.
Una vez hecho ambos dibujos con los detalles, es tiempo de colorear con pintura especial para tela. Siempre empiezo con los colores más fuertes y luego voy jugando con los tonos, en el caso del árbol hice primero la base, las raíces, ramas y luego simula las flores punteando con el pincel, mezclando el blaco con rojo para obtener el rosa parecido al árbol, luego fue el turno de los labios en el bolsillo, sumandole un corazón, esta vez empecé por el color suave para la boca y después los detalles más fuertes, cómo toque final le agregué la palabra respira, la cual siempre me repito y acompaña, para sacudir la tribulación de los días.
Once both drawings are done with the details, it is time to color with special paint for fabric. I always start with the strongest colors and then I play with the tones, in the case of the tree I did first the base, the roots, branches and then simulates the flowers dotting with the brush, mixing the white with red to get the pink similar to the tree, then it was the turn of the lips in the pocket, adding a heart, this time I started with the soft color for the mouth and then the stronger details, as a final touch I added the word breathes, which I always repeat and accompanies me, to shake the tribulation of the days.
Con ambos cuadros pintados cosi los orillos hacia adentro para un mejor acabado, luego con ayuda de alfileres los sujete en la polera para coser, empezando por el bolsillo dejando la abertura pertinente para su uso. Después fue el turno del cuadro más grande, todo este proceso va con costura recta simple, como se muestra hay 2 líneas que simulan el marco de cada cuadro. Y listo hivers mi polera de fortaleza femenina, convirtiendo un lienzo en blanco en una obra de arte ¿Qué les pareció? With both pictures painted I sewed the selvages inwards for a better finish, then with the help of pins I pinned them to the shirt to sew, starting with the pocket leaving the opening for its use. Then it was the turn of the largest square, this whole process goes with simple straight stitching, as shown there are 2 lines that simulate the frame of each square.
