Happy Easter and happy Lord's Day great community. Trust we had a great time in God's presence today.
What makes you or I a disciple of Christ? I love the fact that bro Eli went further to give us the meaning of disciple from the American dictionary, which made us to understand that as long as you are following someone's rules, acts then you have become his or her disciple.
Now, this is even making it more deep cos you might be doing signs and wonders in his name, waking up the dead, laying hands on the sick to be healed and so on but you are still not a disciple because you are only doing his works in his name but not following his will, rules or instructions.
Let me break this down a bit more. My name is Kenny and I am going in the midst of a crowd of people who doesn't know me and peradventure someone somehow who knows me will be amidst the crowd too.
I kept going but then I heard someone call my name, I am definitely gonna give a pause to whatever I'm doing, either I am taking a walk, or in the process of getting something because I heard someone call my name.
Just the same way, when we call the name of Jesus and even as sinners or backsliders, he still hears our prayers and then we mistook it to be a sign that even when we go against his will, we are still recognized as his disciples.
We are only his disciples when we follow his path, do his will and act like him as Christlike.
And just like the sun, moon, stars, rain, dew is a general blessings to mankind, falling and showing on every person either believer or nonbelievers, we shouldn't misunderstand the blessings we get from Christ Jesus for evidence of discipleship but to search through our lives on a daily basis to see if we're still on track with him and his will.
I'll be dropping my 🖊️ here on the MCGICARES Community prompt
