Continuing previous posts showcasing the beautiful sceneries of Neelum valley, wanted to share a little more about this beautiful valley of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan.
Neelum Valley is divided into sub-valleys like,
- Leswa Valley
- Jagran Valley
- Babboon Valley
- Shounter Valley
- Salkhala Valley
Jagran sub-valley can be accessed from Kundalshahi. Babboon sub-valley can be accessed from Upper Neelum. Shounter Valley can be accessed from Kel.
Saral Lake
There are several beautiful lakes in this beautiful Neelum Valley and this is one of them, the beautiful Saral Lake. No, it's not a fairy tale, it's real :)
Peaks Between Taobat and Gagai
The peaks between Taobat and Gagai are breathtaking.
Wooden Houses
The wooden houses in Neelum valley just adds to the beauty of this valley.
Cattle
One of the main source of the inhabitants of the valley of Neelum is Cattle. And why not, what else you want leaving pure fresh milk and dairy stuff? ;)

Farming is another source of income for the locals here.
Mountain Slope Houses
These are the houses on the slope of mountain in Taobat.
Taobat is the last village of Neelum Valley. It is 40km away from Kel and takes 3.5 hours on Jeep. Though you reach there after a very hectic and bumpy track, but it is worth taking all the tiredness and adventure.
