If you are into cryptocurrency, airdrop, ICO, or anything related, it is important and critical to know if you are visiting a safe or unsafe website.
Using Microsoft's "Windows Defender Browser Protection"
Just released this year, Windows Defender Browser Protection is a Google Chrome browser extension that you can install by way of Chrome Web Store.
The extension automatically checks if the website you are about to visit is safe or unsafe. If the website is unsafe you will see a warning just like the screenshot below.
What Else the Extension Can Do
It can protect you against online threats, like phishing and malicious websites, with real-time protection from Microsoft itself. Scanning is done automatically by the extension. Just install the extension and let it do its job.
Installing the Extension
You can install the extension through Google's Chrome Web Store. Just visit the web store then search for the extension and install it.
After installation you should see something like this in your Google Chrome's extension tab. Here, you can enable, disable, and see the details of the extension (see screenshot below).
Additionally, you can turn-off the extension by clicking the icon at left corner of the address bar then use the slider to disable or enable the extension (see screenshot below).
Microsoft's Windows Defender Browser Protection is one of the many available security software out there. It may not stop all the threat from the internet but it is better to have one than using nothing at all.
You can also use "Uppward" from Sentinel Protocol. You can use Windows Defender Browser Protection and Uppward at the the same time.
