1821: The Sacred Band (Ieros Lochos), under Alexandros Ypsilantis, is defeated in Dragasani by Turkish forces. A few days later, Alexandros Ypsilantis crosses the Austrian border, and is subsequently arrested and imprisoned by the Austrians.
1834: Theodoros Kolokotronis and Dimitrios Plapoutas are sentenced to death for conspiracy and high treason, in Nafplio.
