I had a friend in my hometown that was my best friend from high school, and she and I had this friendship tradition of visiting a very special park for us every January, we did this for some years but now we lost contact. However, I could keep those moments in photos everytime we visited the place, and this time I want to share the ones I got from January 2014 in this nice park.
It is called "Parque Paseo Los Chaguaramos" and it is located right next to a cliff at the west coast in the parish Punta Cardón. Here you can have a pretty cool view of the coast and enjoy the sunset.
The sun was really hot at this time of the day (like 3 pm).
Despite the hot weather you can enjoy the fresh wind that blows here, it so strong that it can push you and even make you fall to the cliff xD so if you ever come here watch out while standing on the edge :P
In this photo on the left you can what is called a "mechurrio" (from which I had a better pic in this post) and it belongs to the Cardon refinery.
The waves 🌊
All of them created by the wind!
A bit of the park 🌵
This thing where I was standing is what they call a "mirador" (lookout), as you see they are put all over the cliff side for people to enjoy the view, on the left there's the park square, and finally at the back you may see the refinery.
As you may see the climate here is desert and almost everything is just sand. This tree is called "Cují", an emblematic tree here in Venezuela and a symbol of this state.
The Beach 🏊
A close up to the shore!
If you follow the coastline you'll get to the port of the city :)
My favorite picture from this visit
On the edge panorama.
The sunset! 🌞
The sun was about to set and I liked the light on the sea so much and how the waves looked, really gorgeous.
This photo inspired a poem I had to do based on a photo for an university project.
Enjoying it!
As you see, we just sat down over the "mirador" in order to enjoy this sunset, what we always look for when hanging out.
The yellow is all blurred over the horizon because of the smoke from the refinery and its "mechurrios" that is all spread.
The moment I wished I just were a fisherman.
That boat seemed determined to reach the sun and get burned indeed!
Golden hour now!
This place has very beautiful views and as it is natural you can have many diferent sunsets, this day there weren't clouds in the sky but when there are the sunsets tend to get epic, though I will be showing you more photos of this place and another sunset from 2015, one year later, in another post. Meanwhile you can tell me what you think of these shots :D
Thanks for watching and reading!
Greetings!
