Good day, my lovely people, I welcome to my my garden. As you already know, it's right here in my house. Honestly, this garden has been the only thing keeping and encouraging me in this house. If not for this garden, I would have relocated a long time ago to a more civilized environment. Over here, there's no stable electricity and other basic amenities, but my love for my garden keeps me glued.
Truth be told, keeping this garden in front of my home where people pass everyday is strenuous but I enjoy every part of it. In here, I have varieties, ranging from vegetables to banana, plantain, sour sop, oranges, guava, pawpaw and the likes. The orange trees in my garden are so grown, so they shed leaves often, which I have to sweep every now and then to make the compound clean. That is always stressful until it starts bearing ripe fruits, and I suck it till my stomach is full. Gardening is so interesting, no one intervene during the the cultivation until the time for harvest when everyone becomes friends. I have about three orange trees in my garden but I don't sell them when they produce fruits even though they are always big, plenty and sweet. I give my neighbors, that's the only time they come into my compound to pluck. It amazes me how united my neighbors can be while plucking oranges in my compound. Even when hey can be hostile outside, they team up when they come into my compound, exchange ideas on how to climb the trees and pluck so many oranges. In fact, it will be fair to say, my garden is that big thing that unites the neighborhood.
It's banana and plantain season over here too, I love them so much that I guard them jealously. I don't allow anyone to tamper with my banana nor plantain. I go near it every morning to watch its growth. When it comes to my banana and plantain, I take it personal. In fact, I make it "the husband man that labours shall first be the partaker. Even though I still give some out, I decide who and who it goes to. Lol! My garden gives me so much joy that I think I will still stay in this house much longer. I still have other things to talk about in my garden but I guess that will be next time. Enjoy the rest of your day guys, and do well to send your address for some oranges and banana. I love you all.
