This is a little poem I wrote today, inspired by (what else) the beauty of nature, as well as a moment of musing about courage, and what it means to find it.
Fragile
Birdsong through the trees
Glimmers of light
And the faintest trace of hope:
That is what drives you on
Stumbling
Searching
Barely knowing what it is you seek.
You have never fully known.
But now you strive and turn
To the light that lies ahead
And you have faith:
For you will make it
Through the brambles
The thorns
The old fallen leaves
Listen for that occasional moment of birdsong.
