Greetings friends!

We celebrated Earth Day on April 22 this year. This day is meant to remind us to care for the environment, to awaken our conscience and to make us reflect on the damage we are causing to our environment and eco-system. But is it really working?
We cut trees, clear forests, kill animals, and destroy plant life, and after doing all this, we still pretend to be the “most intelligent” and “most caring” species that ever lived on this world. In truth, we have become a deeply hypocritical animal. Our actions show that we are destroying the very world that keeps us alive. No matter how beautifully we speak about conservation, our behaviour reveals something darker about us. We have become a deadly virus for the planet’s ecosystem.
Other species have lived on Earth for millions of years without harming it. They take only what they need. They maintain balance. But we humans need more than that. We have wiped out countless species of plants and animals. We have replaced forests with concrete jungles that trap heat and turn our cities into ovens. We have filled oceans with plastic, poisoned rivers, damaged the soil and polluted the air we breathe.
And yet, once a year, we shamelessly gather to celebrate Earth Day as if a single day of awareness can undo centuries of destruction. The truth is very uncomfortable. We have no right to celebrate this day. We should left our hypocrisy behind and reflect about our own actions.
Our planet does not need our speeches. It needs our honesty, our responsible behavior and our willingness to change. Just celebrating a day is not enough. We need to control our desire to conquer this world. We need to plant trees, protect animals and minimize our consumption. That will be the true action.
Thanks!
