Instantly, my pores released sweat pits without stopping that soaked my entire body. I'm sweating violently.
I'm not just finished jogging or have just lifted a heavy burden, but I just finished a plate of Mie Aceh mixed with shrimp, a special culinary in Aceh, the westernmost province of Indonesia.
Tells the story of Mie Aceh, I suddenly remember the joke of a friend from Padang, West Sumatra. "Roeth, if you go to Padang, don't try to look for Nasi Padang," he told me, "because there are no rice stalls in Padang that sell Nasi Padang."
"Is it right?" I asked curiously, "why is that?"
"Yeah, in Padang there are only Putera Minang rice stalls, Bundo, Sinar Paris, Nanak, without the words "Nasi Padang." He said that made me laugh.
I also reply to his joke. I told him that if he went to Aceh, never look for Mie Aceh shops, because he certainly would never find him. There are no food stalls selling noodle dishes in Aceh that read Mie Aceh", but, Mie Bang Lah, Mie Bang Lades, Mie Bang Kumis, or Mie Arang. We both burst out laughing.
Naming Mie Aceh, or Nasi Padang, only if those who sell them are outside West Sumatra or outside Aceh. Whereas in the second culinary area it originates, called mie or nasi with the addition of the name of the stall that sells it.
That's my story, thank you for visiting my blog.
