Le corps du violon est presque terminé, il manque la mentonnière , le chevalet et les cordes.
Pour l'archet le tube dont je dispose est trop court, il faut donc que je le rallonge en soudant 2 tubes ensemble. Voici une photo de la soudure:
The body of the violin is almost finished, it misses the chin rest, the bridge and the strings.
For the bow the tube I have is too short, so I have to extend it by welding 2 tubes together. Here is a picture of the solder:

La prochaine difficulté, et pas des moindres, est de fixer l'archet sur le violon pour que le violon tienne debout. J'ai choisi de ne pas faire de socle . Bien qu'ils aient leur utilité je ne suis pas trop partisan des socles et j'essaie souvent de m'en passer. Cela va compliquer le travail de fixation. Le but est de donner l'impression qu'il s'agit d'un vrai violon qui tient debout simplement appuyé sur l'archet dans un équilibre qui doit sembler très instable.
En réalité les deux pièces vont tenir ensemble par une seule vis qui tiendra l'archet sur le coté du violon , un autre point de fixation sera simplement une petite tige d'acier qui rentre dans un trou afin d'empêcher la rotation des deux pièces entre elles.
Il me reste désormais à:
-Terminer l'archet en rajoutant la mèche en crin.
-Faire la patine de l'archet et du violon
-Rajouter le chevalet
-Poser les cordes

The next difficulty, and not least, is to fix the bow on the violin so that the violin stands upright. I chose not to make a base. Although they are useful I am not too fond of pedestals and I often try to do without them. This will complicate fixing work. The goal is to give the impression that it is a real violin that stands upright simply leaning on the bow in a balance that must seem very unstable.
In reality the two pieces will hold together by a single screw that will hold the bow on the side of the violin, another attachment point will be simply a small steel rod that enters a hole to prevent rotation of the two pieces between them.
I still have to:
-End the bow by adding the hair
-Make the patina of the bow and the violin
-Add the bridge
-Posing the strings
