Hi Brethren,
I'm contributing to the biblical question tagged "Why do good people suffer while the wicked prosper?"
The bible tells us the truth that, we can see in the reality.
Ecclesiastes 9:2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean, and to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
This is the general observation of the most wisest person created by God by name king Solomon.
He said all things come alike to all:
what is the justice in this? The bible tells us the general rules of natural physically and spiritual.
Why did King Solomon say all things come alive to all? God is always Just and God's justice is served not only in this life.
John the Baptist died at over 30 years old, beheaded by King Herod. He died at very young age. While he was doing nothing wrong against anybody.
This made it injustice for John the Baptist. But God's justice is not only attain in this life.
There is another life to come. John 5:28-29 Marvel not at this : for hour is coming ; in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
The justice will be served. So, there is the declaration of God in the bible which days, evil people may win, evil people may prosper but it will not last long (John 20:4-5).
But then, what happens to those who are despised and shortlived? Because of those group of people, we are reading Luke 6:20-23. And he lifted up his eyes on his desciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor : for yours is the kingdom of God.
Verse21, Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. Blessed are those who are persecuted. Blessed are those who are maligned. Why is because justice will not be at once served . But it will definitely be served.
Rejoice ye in that day the LORD said.
