Hi everyone
We continue in the city of Évora, walking the streets that wind through historic monuments and typical houses of Alentejo.
Facades with white and opaque walls to repel sunlight and keep the interior as fresh as possible and with their typical color lines, usually blue or yellow as in these streets in particular.
Along the way we stopped to take some pictures and every now and then the street was divided into 2 and luckily we had to choose which way to go, always with our fingers in the air to see which side the wind hit and choose the one with the greatest inclination to descend, because the idea was to go to the center to the restoration area.
I don't know if you read the previous post, but now, the idea would be to find a cool place to have lunch because the hunger was already being felt and the children were also starting to weaken their legs.
But once again, we ended up making a poorly calculated detour just to take a look at what was beyond that huge gate that appeared to us on the left side, and when we realized we ended up at Páteo de São Miguel, also located in the historic center, as we were relatively close to the locations described in previous posts.
The space is very interesting and has a huge balcony that allows us to have an elevated view over another part of the city that fits in the valleys that surround it.
Actually i had no idea what this place was, but after researching i realized the high symbolic weight of the space that over several years served as a backdrop for some of the most remarkable events in the history of the city and even the country.
Its elevated location made it a defensive structure of the city in a time of battles, occupations and conquests.
There was still a stairway that took us to the basement, but it was closed by the time we passed there and so we decided it was time to continue on our way and return to the narrow street that would take us directly to the tavern where we would finally sit down to taste anything that get ahead, at that moment i just wanted to crack something.
When we arrived at the restaurant area, what a surprise to find practically nobody, many of them were still preparing the tables to serve meals, so i looked at the clock and saw that it was still 11 am :P for many would still be in breakfast time.
Anyway, we sat down, ordered the entrees just to calm our stomach and we talked until finally the kitchen was ready... the rest are memories :P
That´s all for today :)

See you soon
Thank you for watching :)
