A platform based on STEEM that has been blowing up lately is Dtube, which is like a youtube version of Steemit. But which one is better?
If you are more familiar with youtube, Dtube is your thing. You get paid for making videos and you have a lot of users from steemit that has gone to dtube, so there is already a decent sized audience. If you are better at making videos, editing, or being a spokesman, then Dtube is better for you. But I still would recommend staying on steemit as well.
If you are a better writer and don't like making videos, then Steemit is the better option for long-term. I personally prefer Steemit, but Dtube is a cool idea since youtube has been stupid with their policies, and has made many people on youtube demonetized making people not able to make money on youtube. Also, youtube is way harder to make money, because it is based on Adsense and it is not guaranteed that someone will click an ad on your video and give you money, while Dtube just needs a thumbs up and you get money. So, I have a feeling a lot of Youtubers will be flocking to Dtube.
I think it is a smart idea to sign up for both accounts, just because you can do so much on both. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, it just depends on how each one suits you. If Steemit is your thing, blog on Steemit, if you are into making videos, use Dtube. But I would recommend signing up on both platforms because they are both so versatile, and it's free! What do you have to lose?
So my suggestion: Sign up for both! It's free, and you have nothing to lose, plus they are both awesome!
