Between the mists

Saludos a todos, espero se encuentren bien. Hoy termine este dibujo con un poco de migraña por que tarde bastante en hacerlo, pero realmente me gustó y siento que me encantaría hacer varios retratos siguiendo este estilo, me anime a hacer un fondo muy claro cosa que no suelo hacer muy seguido y además buscaba hacer un rostro muy delicado con piel muy pálida, ojos claros y cabello oscuro una combinación que personalmente me encanta muchísimo. Al principio el fondo seria totalmente blanco, pero luego quise añadir un poco de efecto que simule niebla y me encanto aun mas de esta forma. Espero que les guste.

Today I finished this drawing with a bit of a headache because it took me a while to do it, but I really liked it and feel like I'd love to do more portraits in this style. I decided to use a very light background, something I don't usually do very often. I also wanted to create a very delicate face with very pale skin, light eyes, and dark hair, a combination I personally love a lot. At first, the background was going to be completely white, but then I wanted to add a bit of a fog effect, and I loved it even more this way. I hope you like it.

Después de realizar el boceto empecé a pintar, esta vez elegí tonos de piel muy pálidos en su mayoría rosas muy claros, algunas tonalidades rojizas alrededor de los ojos, nariz y en los labios. En una nueva capa añadí más colores dándole mejor forma al rostro y cuello, luego empecé a mezclar los colores dejando un resultado mas limpio, en el cuello pinte con negro y baje la opacidad para poder crear ese efecto de tela transparente.

After completing the sketch, I started painting. This time, I chose very pale skin tones, mostly very light pinks, with some reddish tones around the eyes, nose, and lips. On a new layer, I added more colors, giving the face and neck a more defined shape. Then, I began blending the colors, creating a cleaner result. On the neck, I painted with black and lowered the opacity to create that sheer fabric effect.

Pinté el cabello con un color casi negro y añadí reflejos con azules oscuros. Luego pinte las cejas y pestañas y detalle la ropa agregando encaje, para este encaje utilice brochas que tienen esta textura y después de probar varios de estos pinceles conseguí el que mas me gusto. Pinte un arete de cruz en su oreja y luego agregue un poco de “neblina” utilizando un pincel con textura de humo y combinándolo con diferentes tonos de grises, cambie el fondo a un color blanco y detalle un poco mas el rostro agregando mas zonas rojizas. Finalice agregando algunas luces en los ojos, pómulos y barbilla y tambien realizando un ajuste de color dándole una tonalidad un poco mas rosa a la piel y mejorando el contraste.

I painted the hair a near-black color and added highlights with dark blues. Then I painted the eyebrows and eyelashes, and detailed the clothing by adding lace. For this lace, I used brushes with this texture, and after trying several of these brushes, I found the one I liked the most. I painted a cross earring on her ear and then added a bit of "mist" using a smoky brush and combining it with different shades of gray. I changed the background to white and detailed the face a bit more by adding more reddish areas. I finished by adding some highlights to the eyes, cheekbones, and chin, and also made a color adjustment, giving the skin a slightly pinker hue and improving the contrast.
