Hola comunidad hoy quiero mostrarles como tallar una calabaza para Halloween, Desde pequeña Halloween ha sido una de mis temporadas favoritas, aunque en mi país no es una tradición celebrarlo me gusta todo lo que tiene que ver con esta temática y jamás había pensado en hacer una calabaza, realmente pensaba que era complicado, pero recientemente quise hacerla por primera vez para acompañarla con uno de mis maquillajes y me pareció bastante sencillo teniendo en cuenta que se necesita un cuchillo bien afilado o un cúter preferiblemente, vi que también se pueden hacer calabazas con globos en casa pero yo elegí usar una calabaza real y vivir la experiencia completa, quizás me anime a hacer algunas pequeñas con globos para decorar mi hogar.

Hello community, today I want to show you how to carve a pumpkin for Halloween, Since I was little, Halloween has been one of my favorite seasons, although in my country it is not a tradition to celebrate it, I like everything that has to do with this theme and I had never thought of making one. pumpkin, I really thought it was complicated, but recently I wanted to make it for the first time to accompany it with one of my makeups and it seemed quite simple considering that you need a very sharp knife or a cutter preferably, I saw that you can also make pumpkins with balloons at home but I chose to use a real pumpkin and live the full experience, maybe I'll be encouraged to make some small ones with balloons to decorate my home.

Elegí una calabaza que es bastante grande, estaba muy pesada y eso me preocupaba porque pensé que no podría tallarla bien, sin embargo, comencé a hacer un hueco en la parte de arriba y asi poder sacar todo el relleno, este hoyo me costó muchísimo intente con varios cuchillos y cambiando la forma de circulo varias veces para ver si salía al menos un poco jaja, finalmente logre abrirlo y salió la primera parte de la calabaza.

I chose a pumpkin that is quite large, it was very heavy and that worried me because I thought that I would not be able to carve it well, however, I began to make a hole in the upper part and thus be able to remove all the filling, this hole took me a lot of effort with several knives and changing the shape of the circle several times to see if it came out at least a little haha, finally I managed to open it and the first part of the pumpkin came out.

Con la ayuda de una cuchara grande y mis manos saque el resto del relleno, también quería quitarle un poco de grosor así que raspe bastante las orillas de la calabaza, creo que dure mucho mas tiempo vaciando la calabaza que cortando lo demás, fue bastante difícil.

With the help of a large spoon and my hands I took out the rest of the filling, I also wanted to reduce a little thickness so I scraped the edges of the pumpkin a lot, I think it took much longer emptying the pumpkin than cutting the rest, it was quite difficult.

Luego de por fin vaciar la calabaza me traslade a una mesa más cómoda y comencé a dibujar el rostro de mi calabaza, empezando por los ojos luego nariz y boca, estaba muy nerviosa de comenzar a cortar y pensaba en que podía quedarme mal, pero con mucha paciencia comencé por uno de los ojos usando un cuchillo de sierra pequeño y a su vez alternándolo con un cuchillo grande.

After finally emptying the pumpkin, I moved to a more comfortable table and began to draw the face of my pumpkin, starting with the eyes, then the nose and mouth, I was very nervous about starting to cut and I thought that I could look bad, but with a lot of patience I started with one of the eyes using a small serrated knife and in turn alternating it with a large knife.

Y es cuando me di cuenta que, a pesar de que había tallado un poco por dentro la calabaza seguía siendo bastante gruesa y se veían algunos pelitos de la calabaza detrás del ojo, entonces volví a limpiar esta vez usando los cuchillos.

And that's when I realized that, despite the fact that I had carved a little inside, the pumpkin was still quite thick and some pumpkin hairs could be seen behind the eye, so I cleaned again this time using the knives.

Así poco a poco fui abriendo cada parte de su rostro, lo más difícil fue la boca y la nariz, ya que era un poco mas pequeño el espacio para trabajar, pero solo necesitamos seguir con paciencia y un poco de precisión.

So little by little I opened each part of her face, the most difficult was the mouth and nose, since the space to work was a little smaller, but we just need to continue with patience and a little precision.

Después de varios minutos tallando su boca y arreglando algunos bordes de la nariz y ojos obtuve el resultado que quería, una linda calabaza terrorífica de Halloween, la mejor parte fue probarla luego con una vela dentro y ponerla en un lugar oscuro, se veía demasiado hermoso, estoy muy enamorada de mi calabaza y orgullosa de poder decir que por fin hice una calabaza y salió bien jajaja, la verdad es que al principio no tenia mucha fe ya que soy bastante mala para cortar. Para mantener la calabaza algunos dias sin que se dañe lei por internet que es recomendable limpiarla con limon por todas partes, esto lo hice al terminar la calabaza y hasta ahora permanece bastante bien, realmente no se cuanto tiempo dure.

After several minutes carving his mouth and fixing some edges of the nose and eyes I got the result I wanted, a cute scary pumpkin for Halloween, the best part was to test it later with a candle inside and put it in a dark place, it looked too beautiful , I am very in love with my pumpkin and proud to say that I finally made a pumpkin and it turned out well hahaha, the truth is that at first I did not have much faith since I am quite bad at cutting.
To keep the pumpkin for a few days without damaging it, I read online that it is advisable to clean it with lemon everywhere, I did this when I finished the pumpkin and so far it remains quite well, I really don't know how long it will last.
