Y no solo es el primer maquillaje del año y el primero que subiré en tiktok después de mucho tiempo sino que tambien es mi primer maquillaje que hago sin nicotina, les cuento que uno de mis hobbies favoritos era maquillarme mientras fumaba como una enferma adicta, si, siempre que me maquillaba normalmente me fumaba una caja casi completa de cigarros, asi que ese tambien fue unos de los motivos por el cual no me maquille más, siempre que pensaba en hacerlo me daba miedo y ansiedad solo pensar en hacerlo sin tener mi cigarrillo… Realmente sentía que lo necesitaba para poder completar cualquier maquillaje y mientras lo hacia llenaba de humo todas mis herramientas y la sala de mi casa se convertía en el lugar mas toxico, a pesar de dejar el cigarro desde noviembre del año pasado, tenia mucho miedo de hacerlo sin eso, pero hoy me decidí a romper ese temor y créanme que no me hizo falta para nada-.
And not only is this my first makeup look of the year and the first one I’ll be posting on TikTok in a long time, but it’s also the first time I’ve done my makeup without nicotine. I’ll tell you, one of my favorite hobbies used to be doing my makeup while smoking like a crazy addict—yes, whenever I did my makeup, I’d usually smoke almost an entire pack of cigarettes, so that was also one of the reasons why I stopped doing my makeup. Whenever I thought about doing it, I’d get scared and anxious just thinking about doing it without my cigarette… I really felt like I needed it to finish any makeup look, and while I was doing it, I’d fill all my tools with smoke, and my living room would turn into the most toxic place. Even though I quit smoking last November, I was really scared to do it without that, but today I decided to overcome that fear, and believe me, I didn’t need it at all.
Me distraje muchísimo, aunque he perdido la práctica, mi última vez maquillándome fue en año nuevo y en ese momento ya no fumaba, pero hice un maquillaje bastante rápido y sencillo para evitar sentir la ausencia del tabaco. Esta vez tarde bastante, casi dos horas maquillándome, intentando recrear un look de una tiktok que me encanta su user es 
Hive account@ulemakeup0 es una chica venezolana que tiene muchísimos tutoriales de maquillaje, explica super bien y sencillo, lo mas sorprendente es que a pesar de ser explicaciones muy sencillas el resultado siempre es hermoso, esta vez quise hacer este maquillaje que es una mezcla de marrón con azul claro, con un estilo de Halo eyes, me pudo haber quedado mejor pero soy consciente de que he perdido un poco la práctica. No es facil volver a hacer algo después de meses.
I got really distracted. Even though I’m out of practice—the last time I did my makeup was on New Year’s Eve, and by then I had already quit smoking—I still managed to put together a pretty quick and simple look to distract myself from missing cigarettes. This time it took me quite a while—almost two hours—to do my makeup, trying to recreate a look from a TikTok I love. The user is Hive account@ulemakeup0; she’s a Venezuelan girl who has tons of makeup tutorials. She explains things really well and simply. The most surprising thing is that even though her explanations are very simple, the result is always beautiful. This time I wanted to do this makeup look, which is a mix of brown and light blue, with a halo eyes style. It could have turned out better, but I’m aware that I’ve lost a bit of practice. It’s not easy to do something again after months.
Pero para mi fue un reto aun mas complicado cuando se me ocurrió la idea de grabar la mayoría del proceso del maquillaje ya que como mencione hace poco, quiero subir videos en tiktok compartiendo mis maquillajes, no entiendo como hacen las creadoras de contenido para subir maquillaje, me parece la cosa mas incomoda y difícil de grabar, próximamente subiré mi video, aun no puedo hacerlo ya que tengo que editar y además ver como quedaron las tomas porque realmente fue complicadísimo para mí. No espero volverme “influencer” o famosa solo quiero compartir lo que me gusta y mas ahora que puedo hacerlo sin necesidad de aferrarme a un vicio.
But for me, it was an even bigger challenge when I came up with the idea of filming most of the makeup process because, as I mentioned earlier, I want to post videos on TikTok sharing my makeup looks. I don’t understand how content creators manage to film makeup tutorials—it seems like the most awkward and difficult thing to film. I’ll be posting my video soon, I can’t do it yet because I have to edit it and also see how the shots turned out—it was really, really complicated for me. I don’t expect to become an “influencer” or famous; I just want to share what I like, especially now that I can do it without having to cling to a bad habit.
