Mode of life:
Each fish species lives in its own aquatic sphere depending on the individual needs: water quality, oxygen level, salinity, light and food are the factors which define a species' life. Most fish species are cold-blooded, which means that they don't have a constant body temperature but adjust to the water temperature. Usually, fish become more active the warmer the water is. By means of their gills, the fish lungs, they are able to filter oxygen from water whereby they rhythmically open and close their fishmouth so that the water can flow through their gills. Fish are equipped with lateral, dorsal and caudal fins, and more often than not they are colorfully clad in shimmering scales. The skeleton is typically made of flexible fishbones. Many fish species have a sixth sense in shape of holey lateral lines which they can use to follow vortices produced by fleeing prey or to keep the right distance to other aquatic dwellers. Fish smell the substances dissolved in water, allowing them to remember scent and taste of the water stretch they were born in. In this way they can find back to their roots. Fish don't copulate directly but indirectly, which means that conspecific male and female fish meet at spawning sites while the eggs being layed remain suspended in the open water. There are many reproductive rituals and possibilities of caring for fish spawn, which at first evolve into tadpoles before they become the actual fish.

Spiritually light aspects:
Fish connect us with our emotional life, dedication to ourselves and abundance. In snyc with the pelagic underground water flows the fish guides us through the low and high tides of life and allows us to succumb to our own Heart currents so as to harmonically surf emotional waves washing over us. Fish open the floodgates into our very own sixth sense with which we can immediately perceive subtle energies, convenient streams and potential tsunamis in our own inner emotional aquarium and act accordingly to always maintain our sea level in balance. Fish invite us to dive into the exploratory whirlpool of conducive rites and manners to discover new ways of exchanging energies and experiencing yet dormant life facets. Being able to find back to their roots by means of olfactory water analysis, they encourage us to "fish out" our waterproof primordial faith and dance with instead of against the capricious ocean opera, henceforth leading us to the richness of life.

Spiritually dark aspects:
When not in balance, fish can display coldness and existential fears. If we neglect emotional catharsis and don't wash out toxic emotions held for too long our inner aquarium water will become murky and grow noxious weed the parasitic nature of which slowely but surely declares independence from its host, our physical body. The continuous emotional dis-ease consequentially prompts bodily disease. Naturally, the longer we then ignore the emotional root of our physical discomfort the more we will drift into groping in the dark as to how ultimate healing is ought to take place. At its base people in such a condition lack the feeling of being taken care of and loved while the vivid luxuriancy in all creations largely escapes their notice.
Much Love and Light,
Alex
