Chevrolet Camaro
According to Chevrolet, the name "Camaro" was derived from the French word "camarade" or "friend".
The world-famous sports car was developed in the middle of 1960s as competitor of the very successful Ford Mustang. As a typical representative of the "pony" cars, it soon became one of the most popular sports cars. The sixth generation Camaro was presented to the public on May 15, 2015 on Belle Isle in Detroit. The problem of fuel consumption was addressed by Chevrolet by using more efficient engines with cylinder shutoff and lightweight materials.
