#440 - Sadanga Waterfalls.
It's Wednesday night here already and the temperature for the past days have gradually going down every night so we are experiencing a bit colder nights for the past few days because of the rain. Let me just share that yesterday afternoon afternoon after our work from home shift, my wife and I went to the University of the Philippines Diliman which is about a couple of kilometers away. We got there before four in the afternoon and walked a couple of laps on the oval then we ate squidballs and fishballs from a vendor nearby then went home and got caught in a heavy traffic since it is already past five in the afternoon and people are also going home by that time.
For our today's photos let me share some photos taken when we were in Sadanga also a remote village of Mountain Province where a hundreds of Igorots lives. My wife just saw the place as a destination for those who wanted to see nature and hike and that's why one day we filed our leaves and pack to go here. We left Metro Manila at around eight in the evening and arrived here at almost mid-day already. Our host is a local who offers her rooms for rent to travelers and we will stay here for overnight only because there is a storm predicted to arrived afternoon the next day. So after eating our lunch which was also provided by our host, we were accompanied by a young man who will serve as our guide in climbing the mountains in their area and at the same time also stop by in the waterfalls which is one of their main attraction here.
So after climbing the mountains for mire than two hours we finally reached the waterfalls and so we took some photos of it. Far from where we were standing we can here loud sounds of water as it come from the mountain top and land on the bottom surface.
We took the moment to stop here and just stared at the beautiful nature which is right in front of us. We went closer to the falls as well but there are water vapors while we are still few meters from it and I don't want my camera which is not water proof to get wet and we also didn't have any other attires for swimming so we just looked at the falls as clear waters fall from the steep mountain.
Then after several minutes of resting and sight seeing we have to move on and go back to the village which will take another two hours of hike. We don't want to be in the trails while it's already dark so we had to walk fast and there is also another route that our guide took us to lessen the walking time so we can make it to their village while there is still light. Fortunately, just before the dark took over we arrived safely at our host's domain. More to follow.
Follow me on my nature travels.
