I was quite busy this morning preparing food for visitors with special diet. Diet that is less on red meat, salt and fat. I had to go to the market in the morning to find good quality harvest because I planned to cook vegetables like these okras. The ones I have in my garden are not ready yet
I parboiled them together with some greens and eggplant.
Grilling is the way to avoid frying with oil
I started this early as the coals take a bit of time to fire up.
We grilled these milk fish wrapped in banana leaves.
For the other guests I prepared buttered shrimps
And some smoked fish.
Simple and very traditional Pinoy food. I must say the grilled fish was their favorite. Took a selfie to share with friends online and continued with a karaoke session. It was simple yet I felt greater bonding with family and friends.
