It's Saturday again, and time for my weekly #SaturdaySavers update !
Here's my chart of progress this week;
Review of the week
It's been a peculiar week ! Actual growth was pretty good, helped along by both HPUD and the monthly HBD interest coming in.
Finally my HBD is showing a bit of improvement, going from 75% to 77% of the target. It's still well off-track, but at least this week it's heading in the right direction !
Hive Power is exactly on target, so I need to make sure I keep up my rate of earnings to avoid slipping behind. I've got a little bit of liquid HIVE I can push into it, and really ought to top that up sometime soon so that I've got a decent amount for the December HPUD. If I can do that one, it'll mean I've done every HPUD this year with more than the bare minimum.
The big failure this week has been on posting. Two days knocked out with a migraine followed by what I call a "migraine hangover" (fuzzy head and general not-with-it-ness) left me with a total lack of mojo for a few days.
So I'm going to turn around, kick myself in the posterior and get back on form. If I can maintain earnings from posting, it means I don't have to find as much real cash to put into Hive !
Thinking About Next Year's Goals
I'm starting to tinker with ideas goals for next year now that we're getting close to the end of the year. Actual numerical values are something I'll assign later, once I've got total year numbers for 2023 to work off.
I think the main thing I need to work on is engagement. I find it far too easy to be a passive curator, but having a goal which can be measured objectively is something that motivates me well. The hope is that engaging more will generate earnings from comment upvotes, and also encourage people I'm engaging with to read the content I post.
If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by writing as
on the
account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.
If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.
I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.
So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
