We are all entitled to our beliefs and opinions. But as christians, our beliefs should not be based on what people say or based on our reasoning. Everything we profess or claim to believe as people of God should be centered completely on the what word of God in the Bible says. That should always be our go-to as christians concerning anything; be it life, death, and eternity.
The pattern God designed human life is straight forward. We live once and die once. There are no two ways about it. The Bible speaking in Romans says that after death we face judgement. Whatever life we live here on earth is gone the moment we pass on. We don't go and then come back to relive another life.
Hebrews 9:27 makes this clear: “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
Our hope as christians pertaining to life is has nothing to do with reincarnation. We don't see that in the Bible. What we place our hope in is the day of resurrection. When Mary and Martha's brother Lazarus died and Jesus told them he will live again Mary replied saying she knew that it was going to be so on the day of resurrection, she didn't say on the day Lazarus would be reincarnated.
The only reason that would make us see the dead live again is on the day of resurrection. That is when those who were once dead would rise from the grave. Our beliefs as christians should always be founded on rooted on God's Word.
