For us to truly overcome the spirit behind addiction we need to start by accepting Jesus Christ into our lives. Addiction people in a place where they feel completely helpless ,and that’s exactly why we need God’s help to get through this struggle.
The first step is to be willing to admit that you need help. At this point we just have to be honest with ourselves and acknowledge that what we are doing is wrong. We should not deceive ourselves by thinking we can do it on our own without the help of anyone.
When a person humble himself and turns to God in prayer, something begins to change. God gives them strength to say no to temptation and start making better decisions about their lives.
Most of the time addiction starts in the mine long before it manifests in our actions. As Christians, we need to constantly renew our minds and train our thoughts to align with the way of the Lord. When we do that, overcoming addiction becomes easy and possible.
