A parent is supposed to have love and affection for the child and not the other way round. It shouldn’t really matter whatever their differences may be, this should not cut short the love existing between them. Family is all about the members understanding each other. Aside from the love of God — i which is equally important — the love from the parents is one of the greatest form of love an individual, particularly a child, can receive.
It should not be put in place for hatred. A home is one of the places for love is expected to exist. Both parties — parents and child— have important roles to play to maintain a happy home where love coexists amongst them.
If a parent observes some behavior in a child that is out of place the right approach is to discipline them and correct them. But it should not excalate into to something else. A home where love exists makes it difficult for the enemy to penetrate.
