Luke 2 vs 11-14 (KJV): For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men
Jesus came down to this earth so that the will of His Father in heaven may be fulfilled. The news of His birth was the best news that mankind ever received. We hear of a story in the Bible about a woman named Anna who said she would not rest until she sees the manifestation of the Lord through the birth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
She waited steadfastly with prayers and fastings until her expectation became a reality. JESUS is royalty but decided to bring himself low to the status of a servant. HE gave himself up as a sacrificial lamb. Everybody was born for a reason. In Christ's case the reason for His birth was so he could die on the cross for you and I.
He paid the price that needed to be paid in order for us to be saved and bring us back in reconciliation with the Father. We are highly privileged to have a supreme being who is willing to watch over each and every one of us so that we do not have to go through life all by ourselves. HIS has a great plan mapped for all of us.
HIS birth brought about hope. And even when He died He gave mankind a greater hope by resurrecting.
