Two students - James and his friend Max were dragging a fancy thick cover notebook found lying on the corridor in front of their class. Everyone in the class was even surprised that these two fellows will be claiming ownership of a document, even though a fanciful one.
The issue was degenerating to the extent of a fight which their Class Rep could not contain. He promptly collected the book from James who was initially the founder and handed it over to their head teacher.
The next day, the head teacher stormed their class with the book in contention. As fate may have it both friends - James and Max was in the class. After general greetings and exchange of pleasantries the head teacher announced the reason why he was in their class that morning.and requested the two friends to present evidence of ownership so as to legally lay claim to the book.
Everyone was quiet as the sonorous voice of the teacher could be heard. The two waring friends did not budge. Everyone in the class became amused by their sudden and surprised silence. None of them came forward to claim the book with evidence of any sort.
With the sudden silence Anne stood and said "I am the owner of the book". Everyone looked towards her corner with some even laughing heartily. The whole affair has taken a new dimension. Another 'mysterious' owner had appeared.
But Anne did not budge. She maintained her stance and to buttress her point she produced a copy of a receipt bearing her name which also stated that the bearer had bought five copies of fancy thick cover notebooks.
Anne handed the receipt to the head teacher for examination and as that was going on she opened her bag and brought out two other copies of fancy thick cover notebooks which is very similar with the one in contention. The head teacher scrutinized the two and even showed the class to also check.
There was an irresistible conclusion that the notebook belongs to her. The head teacher then gabe it to her and the whole class erupted into wild laughter of joy.
