Yesterday I decided to close all the tabs and paint for my pleasure. Our house is very well worth the Christmas tree this year: we removed it from the floor to the mantelpiece, where we have a clock ... and it was such a wonderful picture that I just could not pass by and draw.
Let the new year and forth bring unexpected gifts and miracles, and I will see such shots that can be depicted. Because to find an object / story / idea is the most difficult for me.
I will paint with the watercolor "Nevskaya palette": ocher yellow, ultramarine, cadmium yellow medium, golden, burnt sienna, sepia, green, indigo, neutral black.
Pencil sketch for watercolor. Especially I didn’t try to draw, I more and more love the ease I seek ... but which does not always work. I work in parts, starting with the mantel clock. The first layer I fill the base, leaving glare from the window light. Then study the details.
