Hi guys,
Time for Nutritional Wednesdays. Om nom nom nom but for the healthy stuff. 😂😂.
So, what purpose does "Nutritional Wednesdays" serve you guys?
Answer). Nutritional Wednesdays are here to help you eat properly so that after the motivation on Monday and Training on Tuesday you eat properly so that you can systematically achieve your results, slowly and steadily.
So for this weeks edition of Nutritional Wednesdays I'm going to be discussing about fruits.
Time for some fruit magic:-
As everyone knows/might be aware of that fruits are a treasure trove of vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc and it's ideal to consume at least two servings in a day, i.e., either two individual pieces in case of bananas, apples, etc. or a bowl of different fruits along with vegetables in it. In their natural form, they consist of large amounts of water and are maybe 100% free from the cholesterol not good for your body, i.e., LDL cholesterol (independent research is recommended here). Therefore, the body is able to not only digest but also absorb the vitamins and minerals from the fruit that you consume very effectively as compared to the packaged fruit or fruit juices that you might drink. A word of advice is please don't opt for fruit juices (packaged ones) because they have very little nutritional content within them ,and they more often than not raise your glycogen levels and that makes it harder for you to lose weight because you lose your glycogen reserves first then tap into the fat burning mode through exercise that uses oxygen to burn fat and a lot of stuff. The nitty-gritty of it will get to complicated. Therefore, let's just move forward.
So let's take a gander at some fruits or rather fruit for thought. Lol.
Strawberry - This succulent red color fruit is one of the most abundant sources of Vitamin C and fiber.
Plum - This is a smooth-skinned fruit containing a juicy interior. It's not only high in carbohydrates but also low in terms of fat and calories it contains. Interesting. Another fascinating piece of information regarding this fruit is that it consists of vitamins A&C, calcium, magnesium, fiber and that's why it deserves a spot in your bowl/plate.
Cherries-- This fruit is small and round with a seed, and looks black or red when ripened. Remember to eat cherries ripe; otherwise, you may, I don't really know, but you may get food poisoning if you eat rotten cherries, common sense but still. They also contain anthocyanins that reduce pain & inflammation( good for your knees I guess). Interesting piece of information or rather fruit for thought. Lol.
Apple-- This fruit contains tons of fiber, vitamin A, folate, etc. They're readily available in green, yellow or red skin in supermarkets. As they say, an apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Bananas:- This fruit is yellow in color & an excellent source of fiber, potassium, etc. They're used after workouts by yours truely.
Lime-- This fruit is packed with vitamins A, C, and folate. The juice of this fruit is considered good for detoxification, it contains antioxidant properties and is what moms usually give their children after they return home from their afternoon cricket session with their friends in which they mostly didn't get to do a lot batting.
So that's it for this week's post of #Nutritional Wednesdays.
Remember to tune in next week as always for another exciting read that is aimed at helping you guys get physically fit by making sensible food choices in this circumstance.
