Hello, steemians! Welcome to da greenhouse, eh!
Today turned out to be another really nice day, just above freezing, and lots of sunshine. I had to go outside and take a look around, it was too nice to stay inside all day. I noticed that the snow had finally slid off the back roof of the greenhouse. It left a big pile of snow in the path that I had cleared around the back of the greenhouse. I think I'm going to just leave it there, there's nowhere to put the snow if I were to shovel it out.
Before it slid off.
After it slid off.
With the sunshine today, the greenhouse warmed up inside pretty nicely. Because this thermometer is on the back wall of the greenhouse, it always reads a bit cooler than the inside temperature in the greenhouse.
I wanted to check on my strawberry plants to see if they're still alive. There does seem to be some response to the warmer temps in the greenhouse. Some of the plants are showing signs of life and growth. I put more water in the pots and in the little planting towers that I had made and planted last spring. They look pretty rough, but there is some green in them.
The plants in the pots look like they're starting to show signs of life.
The cat decided to dig around in this pot last week, so it looks a little rougher. I left her in the greenhouse by herself long enough to get into mischief. I straightened it out a bit before I took the picture.
With any luck, the strawberries will start growing again in the next couple of weeks, but that depends on the weather. If we start getting nights in the teens and 20s instead of around zero F, it won't stay as cold in the greenhouse at night. I'm hoping to see the frost come out of the ground inside the greenhouse at some point this month, but that also depends on the weather.
That's all I have for this post, I hope you found it interesting!
Thanks for stopping by my page and checking out my greenhouse, eh!
