Hello, steemians, and welcome to da garden, eh!
The strawberries are starting to get ripe now in my strawberry patch. I need to start picking them, but I'm going to wait until tomorrow and hope it dries up a bit out there before I start picking. It's been raining a lot here in the past few days and the ground is pretty saturated right now. We got dumped on really good a couple of times and there's still a big puddle in the back yard that hasn't sunk in yet.
Anyway, let's take a look at the strawberries, shall we? This is the edge of the patch by the greenhouse door. You can see the end of my watering pipe that I use to water the patch when it gets dry.
The middle of the patch. You can see a lot of green strawberries also, so I think it's going to be a good year for the strawberries.
Here's a look at the whole patch. The strawberry plants in the pots are there because I had to move them when I set up the space for the container garden. I was going to give them away, but I haven't gotten to that yet.
Now, if the weather will cooperate for a day or 2, I can start picking those lovely little taste treats. I also need to put out some slug traps so they stop making holes in the strawberries when they're almost ripe.
That's all I have for this post, I hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks for stopping by my page and checking out my post, eh!
