Syria and Jordan reopened the Nassib border crossing on Monday, for the first time after three years of closure.
Vehicles were seen queuing at the Nassib border, known as the Jabir crossing in Jordan, even though the passage was not yet open to normal traffic yet.
The two countries agreed to reopen the transit route that has been an essential commercial crossing for both countries until its closure in 2015.
The reopening of the border is expected to boost the Lebanese economy substantially, as Syria serves as the Lebanon's connection to other countries.
