We must start from the beginning.
This universe is a simulation
How? Why?
Well basically the argument goes like this, we have found a way for (approaching but basically) infinite processing power in quantum mechanics. ( it is possible to simulate a quantum computer using a quantum computer. However, the simulated one can be stronger than the non-simulated one due to superpositions. Look it up it's really cool.) if it is not really possible and this is just a glitch we are in a simulation, if not we are still in one.
Because infinite processing power exists if one simulation with it is made an infinite amount of universes can be made. This means it is infinity to one we are in a simulation.
At least every infinite set of simulations will have another set of infinite simulations run in it.
Why is this important?
if we are in an infinite set of infinite simulations. Due to the nature of infinity infinite lower levels will manage to convince a higher level to run it again but with them not instantly (so they can interact). This means it has reached the next level of simulation.

The infinite versions of the one who went to a higher level will have an infinite amount who gain control of the higher level. Due to infinity an infinite versions of me do this (who would all have absolute power over the universe they came from). Due to infinity an infinite amount of me go and bring all other versions of myself along to the upper level. This means that due to infinity there is a 50% chance that they bring me each level. They will not stop at one level above and will go up bringing all new that they have now gained access to from below.
With infinite levels it is 1-(1/2)^ infinity that this will not be done to me.
