Everything moves
A sketch is not just a display of reality.
This is a piece of time.
One moment in the universe means nothing, but for you it can be very important. After all, only you survived it. Everything moves, nothing comes back. This is always a scarecrow of a man, and he invented ways to deal with fears of the inexorability of running time. One possibility to save a memory is to tell others about it. For example, in a story or picture.
The peculiarity of the picture is that it can keep time. It does not simply reflect the moment, but at the same time documents the process of recreation: at the time when you were experiencing what was depicted, you were creating it in parallel. This is exactly the picture that is valuable. After all, you were under the power of the moment. And the audience will see something of their own in your work, and you will return to the past. Even if the picture is not perfect, it will still become a part of the moment that will never happen again.
