Whenever I log in to Facebook to check the latest news on my feed, I always run into people whose posts never fails to shoot up my blood pressure every time. These are the type of people who I despise more than I hate eating sashimi. From the title of my blog, I think you have a pretty good guess already as to which type of people I'm talking about.
You know, those people who love to post stuff like:
"Lookie here, I'm at this new restaurant, and my order of tenderloin steak hasn't arrived yet. It's already 10 mins and it's taking them so lonnnnggg to serve me my order.. definitely not coming back to this place!!!"
or
"Me and my buddies were having drinks last night at this bar. Man, this place could use some upgrade. Their AC unit is as old as my grandpa. They don't even have TV to let us watch our favorite team play. And they're using cheap glass for drinks. Ugh!"
These people are the ungrateful kind or as I like to call them, the ingrates. These are the ones who always take things for granted and feel that they deserve better.
Well, I only have one thing to say to them...
Learn to be f***ing grateful!!!
Be grateful for everything. No matter how crappy your day is, be grateful that you get to have a life.
Be grateful to be able to wake up from your bed every day with the sun shining down on you. Not everyone gets to have a bed to sleep in.
Be grateful even if you don't have a pretty face. Some are not as lucky as you and are born with a disfigured face.
Be grateful that you get to eat at fancy restaurants. Not everyone gets to eat three times a day let alone complain about the food.
Be grateful you get to have a smartphone even if it's not the latest kind. Hell, some people haven't even tried using one in their life.
Always remember to be grateful for everything, for life is always unpredictable. You may be in a good position now in your life but it doesn't mean it can't turn upside-down. And always keep in mind that not everyone gets to be as fortunate and lucky as you. There are a lot of people in this world who have died never experiencing what you have in your life even once. So for the love of all things holy, learn to be grateful!
Sorry if this post looks like a rant because it actually is. I'm just fed up with people who don't know a thing or two about being grateful in their life.
What are your thoughts on ungrateful people? Do you have an experience with an ungrateful person in your life that you would like to share?
I would love to hear from you. Please leave a comment below.
