Since my Butterflypea Flowers harvest is abundant, I have been crazy about making blue food menus. Oh gosh.
Butterfly Pea Flower Plants
That natural blue color made me fall in love.
So when I needed a sauce ingredient to complete my plating, I thought of making a blue sauce from the ingredients of Butterfly Pea Flowers and coconut milk.
Basic Taste of Blue Sauce
This blue sauce has a savory base taste because it contains coconut milk and a little salt.
So this sauce is perfect for complementing desserts, sweet or savory. Both are great to go with this sauce.
But if you want to make this blue sauce sweet, just add the sugar to your taste during the cooking process.
Ingredients
- 70 ml of thick coconut milk or coconut cream
- 50 ml of butterfly pea flower water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of cornflour
How to make
1. Mix 50 ml of the boiling water of butterfly pea flowers with 70 ml of thick coconut milk or coconut cream. Add a teaspoon of salt. Don't forget to add a tablespoon of cornstarch.
2. Stir constantly and cook until it boils.
3. Lift and use as needed. We recommend that you wait until cold so that the hot temperature does not affect the texture of the main course.
Here I am trying to mix this blue sauce with fried bananas.
The result is that the fried banana tastes even more delicious because it is added with the savory taste of the blue sauce made from coconut milk.
